Day 1 | Arrive Wanaka Arrive into Queenstown and transfer from the airport to your accommodation in Wanaka. Tonight’s welcome dinner will be hosted by your Journey Director and is the perfect opportunity to meet your fellow travellers. Overnight: Edgewater Lake Wanaka Day 2 | Wanaka This morning’s adventure offers Wanaka’s finest lakeside scenery plus an exciting and fun 4WD journey through a real alpine mountain farm. Encounter red deer, Angus cattle, sheep and horses, a unique insight into Wanaka’s rich history, heritage and scenery. Enjoy a relaxing afternoon visiting some of Central Otago’s best vineyards, where we will sample some of the very best food and wine the region has to offer. Overnight: Edgewater Lake Wanaka Day 3 | Wanaka - Te Anau Today will be a highlight for many! We board our own private plane for a scenic flight over Milford Sound, New Zealand’s most stunning natural attraction. Landing in Te Anau the adventure continues, as we board the elegant and historic sailing ship ‘Faith’ for an afternoon cruise exploring Lake Te Anau and Fiordland National Park. Day 4 | Milford Sound Today we visit the unforgettable Milford Sound. See up close and firsthand the beauty of this pristine scenic destination. Milford Sound sits within Fiordland National Park, a UNESCOWorld Heritage site and is considered a jewel of the park, a hidden secret waiting to be discovered.We also visit the Milford Sound Underwater Observatory to gain a fascinating view of the underwater environment. Overnight: Distinction Lake View Day 5 | Te Anau - Queenstown This morning we go underground to experience the mysterious world of the luminous glowworms. Te Anau’s glowworm caves are astonishingly beautiful. Deep inside the caves, beyond the roar of the water, you will be taken by small boat into a silent hidden grotto inhabited by thousands of glowworms, unique to New Zealand. After lunch, enjoy a scenic drive to Queenstown. Overnight: Millbrook Resort or similar Day 6 | Queenstown This morning enjoy a walk through Arrowtown - a historic gold mining town. Next we will relax and enjoy a breathtaking cruise on Lake Wakatipu. With a length of 80 km, it is New Zealand’s longest lake.
